From the Classrooms:

St. Joseph's Room:
Many blessings and a warm welcome to all! We look forward to a great year with many things in store. I hope we will be able to meet everyone, and that you can attend Parent Orientation on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 7:00p.m.

This is the time to start thinking about potty training. The signs that a child is ready, able to manipulate clothing, waking up dry from nap or from bedtime. Sometimes just a parent's initiative is enough to get started. The teachers are willing to help, and don't forget the extra clothing.

Please make sure your child has an extra change of clothes and that anything coming into the room is labeled with your child's name.

God bless,

Sr. Maris Stella
Ms. Amie
Ms. Dolores

St. Therese's Room:
Dear Parents:

Welcome to our room! We are excited to be getting to know all of our new friends. We have many fun themes planned for this fall, please check out the parent message board at the door to keep updated on things happening in the room.

Please remember to label all of your child's belongings.

We would also like to introduce Sr. Ann, she has been with us for some time as a volunteer and now she will soon be an official assistant teacher!

God bless,

Ms. Ashley
Sr. Guadalupe
Ms. Besima Sr. Ann

Bl. Maria Teresa's Room:
What a darling group of children we have this year! We are getting to know on another, and becoming a "family of learners."

Parent Orientation is September 12th at 7:00 p.m. We hope to see your there! Working together as parent and teachers help children grow!

We will have some excited themes coming up for fall, don't forget to check out the parent board each day and discuss it with your child.

We want to thank those parents for the nice donations to the classroom.

We will have a show and share bag and the Winnie the Pooh bag, please remember to return it after your time.

We want to welcome our new assistant teachers; some of you might already know them, Ms. Mona and Ms. Katie from St. Joseph's room.

Ms. Annette
Ms. Mona
Ms. Katie

St. John of the Cross:
We have been spending our first week getting to know each other! We will begin our first unit studying Apples, tasting, peeling, cooking, printing, and counting all different kinds of apples.

We will be visiting the grandmas and grandpas at St. Agnes and also there we will be going to First Friday Mass each month.

Parent Orientation is September 12th at 7:00p.m. and we hope to see you there!

God bless,

Ms. Patty
Ms. Rasima
Ms. Marlene

From the Director's Desk:

Dear Parents:

We would like to welcome all our new children and families; we look forward to serving you!

Parent orientation night is September 12 at 7:00 p.m. This will give you the opportunity for you to see what your child does each and every day and to ask any questions that you may have. It is important to meet your child's teacher and learn best how we can work together. We also will have
the upcoming fund- raising we do through the year. The funds are put toward our Scholarship Fund as well as overall maintenance to our Center. We ask for your support so that we may continue to provide quality care for your children.

We will have the Christmas Cookie Fund-Raiser again this year because it did so great last year, let us know if you are interested.

You will note that there have been a few changes to the rooms with teachers moving in different rooms. This is always done from time to time so that each teacher can experience each classroom and be able to know the children
and all classroom schedules. We will also be getting two Carmelite postulants (young women beginning religious life); they will be in St. Joseph and St. Therese's rooms starting September 11.

We look forward to a blessed and rewarding year!

Ann Cunningham

Prayer Corner:

Children at 4 and 5 have a sense of independence. Yet they also may be somewhat anxious as they broaden out to new horizons. They love new places, new ideas, and new bits of information. Remember as children grow changes occur rapidly in their growth and development.

Religious growth is important also, children form their image of God as a human person, from parents and other significant people in their lives. They are comfortable with formal and spontaneous prayer.

Children's awareness of the Church is limited to experiences at home and in the parish. If children were baptized as infants, they have probably seen pictures or had experiences with other family members. Some children also may have experienced First Communion or Conformations. The families participation in parish life makes a big impact on a child's experience of parish life.
