From the Classrooms:

St. Joseph's Room:
Dear Parents: We welcome all of you back and all our new children and families. We have a lot of new and exciting things planned for the New Year!

Brrr! Cold Weather is upon us so please dress your child in weather appropriate clothing. Make sure that your child has a winter coat, hat, mittens and they may wear snow pants and boots. We go out every day to enjoy the fresh air.

Please make sure your child has a change of clothes and that they are marked clearly with their name on each item of clothing. This is the classroom where we are on our way to learn to use the potty, so plenty of extra change of clothes marked clearly with your child’s name.

Please continue to check the classroom door for upcoming messages regarding the classroom and all school events.

A special thank you to all the parents who have donated items to our classroom and classroom parties. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

If your child is having a birthday we ask that they buy a book for the room or something from the Birthday Wish List Tree, we will make the birthday treat with the children in the room.

God bless,
Sr. Guadalupe, Ms. Janet and Ms. Erica

St. Therese's Room:
Dear Parents:
We have many things planned for this winter look at the themes and if your wish to bring something in to share with the class, such as a talent or treat we would appreciate your involvement.

We have added a new member to the staff Ms. Alouisa Thames (Allie), she will be assisting in our classroom, she was previously a novice with the Carmelite Sisters and we are happy to have her with us in the classroom.

We would like to welcome Ms. Alicia to our room she worked at Carmelite many years ago and is back helping in various rooms and is now going to help out St. Therese’s room.

Sr. Anna Maria is needed in the convent at this time but will fill in various times during the week.

Reminders:
1) Be sure to take a look at our wish lists for the classroom
2) Look for sign-ups for coming events
3) Our classroom is working on prop boxes, we are in need of certain items for Beauty Shop, Restaurant, Veterinarian, and Hospital

Thank you for all your wonderful help

Ms. Emily, Ms. Dolores, Ms. Tammy, and Ms. Allie

Bl. Maria Teresa's Room:
Dear Parents:
Welcome back and a big welcome to the new children to the classroom in the New Year!

We are presently doing assessments and will be having conferences in February, look for the sign up sheet at door.

A quick reminder, please remember to have a change of clothes for your child that is marked clearly with their name. Please remember that we try to get out each day and to dress your child appropriately, with mittens, hat and boots.

Please make sure that your child’s locker is cleaned out each week of papers and that cubby cots go home once a month to be washed.

Thank you,
Ms. Mary, Ms. Alice, and Ms. Besima

St. John of the Cross:
Dear Parents,
Happy New Year! Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and are ready for a great new year!

We will begin parent story reading the month of January. Parent’s will come to the classroom in the afternoon after snack and bring their child’s favorite book to share and read to the class. Please sign up.

Assessments and conferences are starting January 16, look for the sign-up sheets.

God bless,
Ms. Beth, Ms. Alice and Ms. Rasima

From the Director’s Desk: Mrs. Ann

Dear Parents:

Happy New Year! We want to welcome everyone back and to welcome our new children and families. We hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and are geared up for a new year. We want to thank all the parents who donated to the Christmas teacher gift fund. We really appreciate your thoughtfulness and generosity. We know it is cold outside and some days we have to stay in but we try to go out each and every day even for a short time, so please dress your child appropriate with hat and mittens and layer their clothes for winter. We do not close because of snow; the sisters faithfully walk over from the convent and open the center.

Parent/Teacher conferences will be coming up so look for sign up sheets by your child’s classroom doors.

Registration for summer and next fall will be February 6, 2012 please look for registration forms at the front hall way. Everyone must fill out registration forms even if leaving the school. All tuition must be paid in full before your child can be registered. There is also an annual registration fee that must be paid at the time of registration in order to be processed.

Tuition will increase starting the Summer Session, May 29, 2012. The increase will be $215.00 per week for full-time and $55.00 per day for part-time.

Please always make sure that you look at the parent corner at front for upcoming events and the calendar.

God bless,
Ann Cunningham

The weekly invoices are out each week and must be paid each week on Monday. Please pay your balance in order not to occur late fees and loss of your position at Carmelite.

Reminder: All tuition must be paid up to date in order to register your child for summer and next fall.

If you would like a receipt or yearly pay schedule emailed to you, you can email awinecoff@stagneshome.com.

Prayer Corner:

New Year’s Prayer

God, thank you for a new year, may everyone in our family be willing to begin anew with a clean slate. We know that you are always ready to forgive us. Help us to be willing to forgive ourselves and to forgive one another.

As we begin a new year, remind us of our truest values and our deepest desires. Help us to live in the goodness that comes from doing what you want us to do. Help us to put aside anxiety about the future and the past, so that we might live in peace with you now, one day at a time.
