Philosophy

Our congregation, the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus, has dedicated itself to care for the children brought to us. While with us, the children will receive motherly care and love as well as the training that meets their natural abilities and tendencies. We consider our Catholic faith the greatest gift we can impart, and so it influences every area of the child care curriculum. We welcome every child regardless of religion, race, color, sex, or ethnic origin.

Early enrichment programs influence a child's mind and character far beyond his formative years. Our programs provide a creative and loving environment which strive to balance the physical, emotional, spiritual, social, and intellectual aspects of his development. We attempt to provide each child the opportunity for success in his own performance rather than in meeting adult expectations. Provisions for individual differences are made by staff members who present activities for various learning styles.

Mission

As Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus, of the Central Province, and under the special Patronage of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, we are united with bonds of filial love and obedience to our Holy Father and our Mother General. Impelled by the love of the Triune God and in the spirit of our Foundress, Mother Mary Teresa of St. Joseph, we strive to bring the fruits of our contemplative life to the active apostolate. We dedicate ourselves as a Gospel community to work for the salvation of souls through acts of reparation, self sanctification, and service to our neighbor, especially the children and the elderly.
